This page links to a of series of posts inspired by a reader who hits me up me regularly with snapshots and commentary on panhandlers and assorted homeless people he sees roaming the environs of Highland Park, Washington. Some of these folks are leftovers from the “Nickelsville” squatters camp that was here for over two years (and finally evicted in September, 2013) while others migrated here independently. Still others are probably indigenous.
The series is named “ppl” after the texting abbreviation for “people.”
